Once in a lifetime experience ... again!
Two weeks from now we leave for Telluride, Colorado. I can't say how much we are looking forward to this.
In 2006 I did the poster art for the festival which required that we be there to sign things like the poster ot tee shirts or babies or whatever.
While we were on our way there, we had mixed emotions. Neither one of us knew anything about it other than a string of testimonials on line, swearing they loved the city and the festival. This raised the excitement level up some, but still it would be determined when we got there.
We flew to Denver and then caught a prop plane for our destination ... a small airport not far from Telluride. From there we were driven to our hotel by a shuttle. By then it was clear to me this was a well oiled organization ... everything worked out perfect, exceeding our expectations. We signed posters and sold some of our merch also. We also got to experience the festival from beginning to end ... the music, the friendly people, the beer, and most of all the emotional impact of being at one of the most beautiful places in the world.
I never thought we would get to go back, but for the second time we return to one of my favorite places in the U.S. Life is good. :)
